County Clare has many things to offer visitors, with its wild landscape, cultural experiences, great local cuisine and of course the friendly welcome from the local people. Here are some suggestions of things we think are special!

Cliffs of Moher:
The most famous natural wonder in Ireland, its top of most visitors must do list.

Lisdoonvarna Spa:
The original reasons for Lisdoonvarna’s fame, its just down the road from the Hotel. 
The Spa’s therapeutic mineral waters contain magnesia, iodine and iron.

Burren Smokehouse:
Great smoked fish and other delights. 
See the smokehouse in action. 2 minutes down the road.

The Burren:
Of international importance, the Burren is an amazing landscape with lots of ancient tombs
and great wild flowers in Summer.

Doolin:
The home of traditional music in Ireland, and where
Sharon Shannon got started. 15 minutes away

Inisheer:
The smallest of the Aran Islands and reputed model for “Craggy Island” of Father Ted fame.
 Ferry across just 15 minutes away at Doolin Pier.

Fr Ted’s House:
The actual house where the iconic TV comedy was filmed.
You can even call in and have a cup of tea!

Ailwee Cave:
Limestone cave system
 open to the public with added attractions such as
Wild Raptor display and a farm shop.
